The label markets 'Odor Elimination Technology' but the SDS §3 discloses only acetone (40-45%) and propellants (50%+ combined) as the bulk of the formula. No named enzymatic, cyclodextrin, or oxidative odor-elimination active appears in §3. The mechanism is fragrance-and-acetone-vapor cover — acetone's high volatility helps the New Car fragrance reach all surfaces of the cabin during the fogger release, but the underlying odor will return on heavily embedded sources once the acetone and propellant ventilate out. Community Amazon reviews (4.4★, 3,289 ratings) describe immediate odor reduction with mixed long-term results.

Both are 1.5–2 oz aerosol foggers in the same product category. Meguiar's uses propane/butane/acetone with the acetone at 5-10% (lower acetone, lower H370 cardiovascular risk in current 2025 SDS). Armor All FreshFX uses isobutane/HFC-152a/propane with acetone at 40-45% (higher acetone, lower butane, no H370 in current 2018 SDS). Both classify DANGER. Meguiar's is the more established product with a longer review history and more documented community follow-up; Armor All is the lower-cost alternative. Both require the same procedure: seal, release, ventilate before re-entering.

The 1.5 oz format is engineered for sedan-size cabins (~80–120 cubic feet). Community reviews report adequate coverage for compact and midsize cars; for full-size trucks, SUVs, or vans, use two cans or step up to a larger format. Insufficient can volume for cabin size is a documented failure mode in this product category — odor cover will be uneven and short-lived.

The DANGER classification is driven by H222 (extremely flammable aerosol Cat 1) and H229 (pressurized container) physical hazards from the 50%+ propellant load, plus H319 (eye irritation) and H336 (drowsiness/dizziness from acetone CNS depression) health hazards. The flash point is below −50°C — this is a flammable aerosol that should never be used near an ignition source, and the acetone solvent at 40-45% means inhalation in an enclosed unventilated space genuinely affects the central nervous system. The 2018 SDS does not list a California Prop 65 warning. Acetone is not on the Prop 65 list; the propellants (isobutane, HFC-152a, propane) are not on the list. The retail packaging does not currently carry a Prop 65 cancer/reproductive-harm warning. California buyers should verify packaging at point of sale; Prop 65 disclosure can be added without an SDS revision.
