The Rag Company
Jersey Bug Scrubber PadsAbrasive sponges and pads designed to scrub bugs and tar off paint and glass.
Bug sponges have a soft mesh or netted surface that grabs dried bug guts and tar without grinding them into the clear coat the way a regular wash mitt would. They live on the front bumper, hood, mirror housings, and leading edge of the windshield after a summer highway drive. Soak the area with a bug-and-tar remover or a strong APC dilution first, give it 30–60 seconds to soften the residue, then scrub with light pressure. Don't dry-scrub bug sponges across paint — even the soft mesh marrs clear coat if there's no lubrication, and the bug pad picks up grit fast. Rinse it out often and retire it the second the mesh starts shedding.
