Valeo SA is a French Tier-1 automotive supplier founded in 1923 and headquartered in Paris. The company is publicly traded on Euronext Paris (ticker: FR) and operates more than 180 plants and 60 research centers across 30+ countries. Valeo supplies original-equipment components to nearly every major global automaker, with particular strength in wiper systems, lighting, thermal management, and increasingly in ADAS and electrification.
Wiper systems are a Valeo core competency — the company is one of a small handful of global OE wiper-system manufacturers (alongside Bosch and Denso). Valeo wiper blades ship as factory equipment on many European platforms (Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Volvo, Peugeot, Renault, Honda Acura among others) and the brand's aftermarket lineup mirrors the OE platforms. The **Valeo Ultimate 900 series** is the premium aftermarket beam blade built on the same frameless platform and Tec3 rubber technology used in OE supply. **Valeo Pro** is the conventional-bracket aftermarket line for older fitments, and **Valeo OE-Style 600 series** covers narrower OE-replacement applications.
Valeo's wiper-rubber compounds are proprietary synthetic formulations; the Ultimate 900 series uses what the company calls "Tec3 advanced rubber technology" — a graphite-treated synthetic rubber compound. Valeo does not publish a public material specification sheet identifying the compound as EPDM by name; long-term independent confirmation of compound chemistry is not available. Most Valeo aftermarket wiper blades carry a California Prop 65 warning, consistent with the carbon-black content typical of automotive rubber compounds.
