MetroVac is the consumer-facing brand of Metropolitan Vacuum Cleaner Co., Inc., a Suffern, NY-based manufacturer that has been building vacuum cleaners and air-moving equipment in the United States since 1939. The brand is best known among detailers for the Air Force line — steel-bodied car dryers built around twin universal motors, sold in detailing-focused configurations (MB-3CD, MB-3CDSWB Revolution) and pet-grooming variants. Metropolitan Vacuum Cleaner Co., Inc. holds UL file E31177 covering vacuum cleaning machines and blower cleaners, which is the third-party electrical safety certification basis for the Air Force product family.
