Metabo HPT

Metabo HPT is the North American power tool brand under Koki Holdings America, Ltd — the successor entity to Hitachi Koki, which rebranded its North American power tool business as Metabo HPT in 2018. The brand is distinct from German-headquartered Metabo (Metabowerke), even though both share parent company Koki Holdings; the brands operate independent product lines and platforms.

The MultiVolt 36V cordless platform is the brand's flagship system — tools accept either a 36V MultiVolt battery or, with an optional AC adapter, run on 110V wall power, which is unusual in the cordless space. Impact wrenches, impact drivers, drills, and saws on the MultiVolt platform compete with Milwaukee M18 and DeWalt 20V MAX in the high-torque tool segment. The brand offers a lifetime tool body warranty on most MultiVolt tools, with a separate 2-year battery warranty.
