Febreze

Febreze launched in 1996 as a fabric odor neutralizer based on β-cyclodextrin — a sugar molecule that traps and neutralizes odor compounds inside its ring structure. The original Fabric Refresher was the first mass-market product to claim a real molecular neutralization mechanism over pure fragrance masking. The product line has since expanded substantially. The current Febreze Car category includes vent clips (passive evaporator with concentrated fragrance gel), aerosol sprays, and the plug-in line for non-automotive use. The car vent clips are the highest-volume Febreze auto product on Amazon — a fragrance-driven format with a 30–60 day useful life that occupies the air freshener slot rather than the true odor eliminator slot. Procter & Gamble manages the brand from Cincinnati, OH. SDS documentation is published through P&G's product safety portal; consumer-product SDSs follow the CPSC framework and are released as a courtesy under 29 CFR 1910.1200(d) hazard categories.
