Delphi Technologies traces its roots to the Delphi automotive spin-off from General Motors in 1994. In the US automotive battery market, Delphi sells through its MaxStart product line, covering AGM (absorbed glass mat) and conventional flooded chemistries in standard BCI group sizes.
Delphi MaxStart batteries are manufactured by Clarios (formerly Johnson Controls Power Solutions), the largest automotive battery manufacturer in the world and an OEM supplier to Ford, GM, Honda, and most major automakers. Clarios-manufactured batteries carry OE-quality construction standards, including the same plate grids, separators, and case materials used in factory-installed batteries.
The MaxStart AGM line targets vehicles with higher electrical demands, stop-start systems, and accessory loads. The MaxStart conventional flooded line targets standard-replacement applications. Both are sold through Amazon, AutoZone, Walmart, O'Reilly Auto Parts, and independent distributors.
