Champion

Champion Spark Plugs traces its roots to 1907 and is one of the oldest spark plug brands in North America. Now owned by Tenneco (through the Federal-Mogul acquisition), Champion produces a wide range of ignition components across automotive, small engine, marine, and lawn-and-garden categories.

The automotive lineup spans copper, platinum, and iridium grades. Champion holds OE supplier relationships with select automakers — notably Ford for certain engine families — but is primarily positioned as an aftermarket cross-reference supplier for most other applications. The iridium line (including the 9407 / RER8ZWYCB4) targets OEM-equivalent replacement applications using fine-wire iridium center electrodes with platinum ground electrodes.
