Boeshield is the consumer and industrial brand built around a single product engineered by The Boeing Company in the early 1980s. Boeing needed a long-term metal protectant and lubricant that could survive the extreme humidity, salt exposure, and thermal cycling of aerospace applications. The formula it developed — a petroleum-solvent carrier loaded with paraffin wax and corrosion inhibitors — became Boeshield T-9, and PMS Products Inc. has distributed it under an exclusive worldwide license ever since.

The product found an audience far beyond aerospace. Woodworkers prize it for protecting cast iron machine tables without leaving an oily residue that migrates to wood. Marine users reach for it on electrical connections, hinges, and any below-deck hardware exposed to salt water. Cyclists use it as a chain lubricant. Automotive enthusiasts apply it to battery terminals, door hinges, and undercarriage hardware before winter storage.
