BlueDriver is the consumer-facing brand of Lemur Vehicle Monitors, a Canadian company that set out to build a Bluetooth OBD-II scanner that went meaningfully beyond the generic code reader. The BlueDriver Pro dongle, sold since 2013, consistently ranks among the top-selling OBD-II scanners on Amazon and became well-known for pairing free, frequently-updated app software with enhanced diagnostic access (ABS, SRS, TPMS) at a price point below professional shop scanners.

The brand's model is app-centric: all diagnostics, repair reports, and live data stream through the iOS or Android companion app rather than a built-in display. Software updates arrive through the app stores at no additional charge — a recurring differentiator in a segment where annual subscriptions are common. BlueDriver's positioning sits between a basic code reader and a professional bidirectional scan tool: it reads and clears enhanced codes across major makes, provides repair reports with probable causes and community-sourced fix data, and streams live sensor data — but does not support actuator-level bidirectional commands.
