Per SDS §15, the formula discloses ethylene oxide (CAS 75-21-8) as a Prop 65-listed carcinogen. Ethylene oxide is a trace residual produced during manufacturing of the ethoxylated emulsifiers used to stabilize the silicone emulsion — it is not an active ingredient. Both the SDS §15 and the Amazon listing confirm this disclosure. Prop 65 has no minimum threshold exemption for listed carcinogens, so the warning appears even at trace levels.

Surface coating. The primary active ingredient is dimethyl siloxane (silicone) in a water-based emulsion — it coats the surface of the trim rather than penetrating or bonding with the plastic substrate. Surface coatings produce immediate, visible darkening and are very easy to apply, but durability is measured in weeks rather than months. Penetrating polymer or acrylic resin restorers chemically interact with the substrate and typically last 2–6 months, but require more technique-sensitive application.
