Second-generation XC60 on the SPA platform. Shares architecture and design language with XC90 and S90. 2.0L inline-four base (B5/B6 mild hybrid) and Recharge plug-in hybrid (T8). Major mid-cycle refresh for 2024 model year updated infotainment to Google-built-in. Polestar Engineered T8 (415 combined hp) is the performance variant.

Watch out: Twincharged B5/B6 four-cylinder engines are complex. Recharge plug-in: high-voltage battery cooling, charge port, and 12V auxiliary battery are long-term cost watch-outs. SPA infotainment software updates frequent; early cars (2018-2020) feel slow vs. post-refresh Google software.
