Volvo S90 2nd Generation (SPA)

Modern S90 on the SPA platform — Volvo's first true E-segment sedan since the original 90-series of the 1990s. 2.0L inline-four (T5/T6/T8). T8 Recharge plug-in is the performance flagship. Long-wheelbase 'S90L' for the Chinese market; US gets the standard wheelbase only. Production was moved entirely to China in 2018 for the US market.

Watch out: Twincharged engine complexity. T8 high-voltage system is the major out-of-warranty watch-out. SPA infotainment improved meaningfully post-2023 Google-built-in update. Slow US sales mean limited dealer inventory for parts and used market liquidity is thin.
