Toyota GR Corolla 1st Generation (E210)

The GR Corolla shares its G16E-GTS 1.6L turbo three-cylinder with the GR Yaris (not US-market) and makes 300 hp in US trim, sent through a 6-speed manual (or 8-speed GR-DAT automatic from 2024) to a GR-Four AWD system with adjustable torque split. Trims: Core, Premium, Premium Plus, Morizo Edition (manual-only, lighter, no rear seats), and Circuit Edition.

Watch out: Owner reports of valve-cover oil weeping on early G16E-GTS engines and head-gasket concerns under track abuse — investigated by Toyota in 2024 with new short-block service procedures. Verify any prior repairs were per Toyota TSB, not improvised.
