Toyota Camry XV40 (6th Generation)

2007–2011 · XV40 · sedan

The XV40 launched the Camry Hybrid (first hybrid Camry, 2.4L 2AZ-FXE Atkinson + electric, 187hp combined). Standard engines: 2.4L 2AZ-FE I4 (158hp) and 3.5L 2GR-FE V6 (268hp). The 2AZ-FE oil consumption and head-bolt-stripping issues are the generation-defining problems.

Watch out: 2AZ-FE 2.4L oil consumption and stripped head bolt threads — Toyota Warranty Enhancement Program ZE7 (closed) covered piston/ring replacement on certain 2007-2011 cars. Stripped head bolt threads at the rear of the head require a TIme-Sert repair.
