Toyota C-HR 1st Generation (US Market)

20182022 · AX10 · suv

The C-HR (Coupe High-Rider) launched in the US for the 2018 model year on the TNGA GA-C platform shared with the E210 Corolla. Powertrain was the 2.0L 3ZR-FAE four paired with a CVT, FWD-only in the US (AWD was offered in other markets). Trims started as XLE and XLE Premium, with LE and Limited trims appearing in later years. Toyota discontinued the C-HR in North America after the 2022 model year, with the Corolla Cross taking its slot in the lineup.

Watch out: FWD-only in the US is the practical limitation for buyers in snowy regions. Owner forums report scattered CVT and infotainment complaints but no defining defect campaign has emerged. Short US production run means parts availability is dealer-only for some trim-specific pieces.

Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
