Subaru WRX STI 3rd Generation (VA)

Third-gen STI (VA chassis) ran the EJ257 2.5L turbo flat-four (305 hp in US trim) — the final iteration of the EJ-series turbo Subaru sold in the US. 6-speed manual only, DCCD (Driver-Controlled Center Differential) with adjustable front/rear bias, hydraulic steering through the end of production. STI Type RA (2018, limited) and STI S209 (2019, ~209 units, US-only) are the collectibles. No STI variant of the 4th-gen (VB) WRX has launched in the US.

Watch out: EJ257 ringland failure is a well-documented community concern — most often on tuned or aggressively-driven cars. Pre-purchase: cold-start tailpipe smoke, recent compression / leakdown numbers, and tune history matter more than mileage on these.
