Subaru Legacy 5th Generation (BM/BR)

2010–2014 · BM · sedan

Fifth-gen Legacy (sedan chassis code BM; wagon — sold as Outback — code BR) grew significantly. EJ25 (then FB25 from 2012/2013) 2.5L flat-four, EZ36 3.6L flat-six (3.6R), and the Legacy 2.5GT turbo (EJ255, 265 hp, 2010-2012 in US — last turbo Legacy). 6-speed manual on the 2.5GT, CVT or 5-speed manual otherwise. Bigger than the previous gen — split the Subaru community.

Watch out: FB25 oil-consumption extended warranty (covers 2012-2014 examples — see Outback BR note). EJ255 turbo Legacy is a known hot-rod platform — verify originality and check for tune evidence on the GT.
