First-gen Taycan, launched 2020 model year. 800V architecture (one of the first production EVs to use it). 4S / GTS / Turbo / Turbo S / Turbo GT trims. Body styles: sedan, Sport Turismo (wagon), Cross Turismo (raised wagon). Major 2024 refresh added battery capacity, faster charging, and new power tunes — the post-refresh cars are meaningfully better than early ones.

Watch out: Early (2020-2021) cars had a couple of high-profile software-related stop-sale recalls (motor / drive-unit firmware). All addressed under warranty. Battery degradation tracking is normal for an early EV — pre-purchase battery health report is worth obtaining. 12V auxiliary battery early failure has been reported across multiple Porsche EV models.
