Watch out: Timing belt and balance-shaft belt service is non-negotiable on the 944 — interference engine, belt failure = bent valves. Watch for cracked dashboards (cosmetic but expensive to repair), torque tube wear, and clutch master/slave cylinder leaks. A documented maintenance history is worth more than low miles.
