2009–2020 · Z34 · coupe

VQ37VHR 3.7L V6 with VVEL variable valve event and lift, 332-350hp. RWD with 6-speed manual (SynchroRev Match optional) or 7-speed automatic. Shorter wheelbase and stiffer chassis than the 350Z. Nismo trim got 350hp, sportier suspension, and visual aero. Lived essentially unchanged from 2009 to 2020. Nissan kept selling it while the rest of the segment moved on.

Watch out: Early VQ37VHR cars (2009-2010) had a documented timing chain tensioner issue that could produce a rattling start-up noise. Nissan issued service campaigns. Also check for the same VQ-family oil consumption pattern as the 350Z.
