VQ35DE V6 (revised VQ35HR from 2007 model year onward). RWD with 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. Fifth-generation Z, sold as Fairlady Z in Japan. The car that made cheap, modifiable RWD coupes available again post-2002 and seeded a decade of import-tuning content.

Watch out: VQ35DE oil consumption is real and well-documented on early ('03-'06) cars, as is premature front tire wear from a soft factory tire compound on the staggered wheel setup. Pre-purchase: bring a flashlight to the wheel wells and check the driver-side tire inner edge.
