Mid-tier performance variant of the Lancer, slotting below the Evo X. Same 4B11T 2.0L turbo I4 detuned to 237hp / 253 lb-ft. SST 6-speed dual-clutch transmission only, no manual offered (a key complaint vs Evo GSR). S-AWC all-wheel drive with Active Center Differential (no Active Yaw Control). Lancer body shell with mild fender flares. Available as sedan and Sportback hatchback. Offered cheaper than the Evo X for buyers who wanted the AWD and turbo experience without paying Evo prices.

Watch out: Same SST mechatronic / clutch-pack wear pattern as Evo X MR, service intervals matter and a rebuild is expensive. The 4B11T is more reliable in this lower-output tune than in Evo X form, but the supporting hardware (intercooler piping, BOV) is cheaper. A common upgrade path is to add Evo X cooling-system parts.
