OM642 V6 diesel carries over but the headline addition is a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline option — first US-market Sprinter gas engine on this generation. Optional 4x4. MBUX with 7- or 10.25-inch touchscreen. Van-life and Class B RV market backbone.

Watch out: OM642 carry-over reliability concerns from NCV3 (oil cooler, swirl flaps) apply. The new 2.0L gas engine is too low-mileage in fleet to have a definitive failure pattern. 4x4 system: transfer case actuator concerns starting to surface on highest-mileage examples.
