Coupe is C197; Roadster is R197. M159 6.2L NA V8 (an M156 derivative) — 563 hp base, 583 GT, 622 Black Series. Gullwing doors on the coupe (open-air on the roadster). Last AMG with a naturally aspirated V8 from the factory. SLS AMG Electric Drive (2014-2015) was a four-motor full-electric variant produced in tiny numbers — collector territory.

Watch out: M159 V8 valve seal wear and head bolt corrosion (M156 family inheritance). Carbon ceramic brake rotors (optioned) replacement is high-end exotic territory. Gullwing door struts and explosive bolts (for emergency rollover door ejection) age and require periodic recertification.
