Launched as SLK; renamed SLC for the 2017 model year as part of Mercedes' naming reshuffle. M271 turbo-4 (SLK250 / SLC300), M276 V6 (SLK350), M152 5.5L NA V8 in the SLK55 AMG (the last NA V8 AMG roadster), M133 2.0L turbo-4 in the AMG SLC 43 facelift. Retractable hardtop with optional MAGIC SKY CONTROL panoramic glass. Discontinued after 2020 — no direct replacement.

Watch out: M271/M274 turbo-4: timing chain tensioner and balance shaft wear documented. M152 V8 (SLK55 AMG): same M156-family head-bolt corrosion concerns; valve seal wear. Hardtop hydraulic leaks are routine maintenance now.
