Most tech-heavy S-Class ever. MBUX Hyperscreen runs dash-wide. Rear-axle steering up to 10 degrees. M256 inline-six (S500), M177 4.0L biturbo V8 (S580), AMG S63 E Performance is a 791-hp PHEV V8. Mercedes Drive Pilot Level 3 (eyes-off in slow traffic) approved in Germany and certain US states. Maybach S680 keeps the M279 V12 alive for now.

Watch out: Early-build MBUX Hyperscreen software / display dropouts — Mercedes issued multiple TSBs. Rear-axle steering modules have shown failure clusters on highest-mileage examples. 48V EQ Boost system out-of-warranty cost unknown for owners; verify warranty status on used purchases.
