Sixth-gen S-Class. Twin 12.3-inch displays under one continuous glass — a major interior-design moment for Mercedes. M276 V6 (S400/S450), M278 biturbo V8 (S550), M157/M177 biturbo V8 in S63 AMG, M279 biturbo V12 in S600 / S65 AMG / Maybach S600. Maybach trim returned. Mid-cycle LCI in 2018 swapped the V6 for the M256 inline-six on most variants.

Watch out: Pre-LCI cars: M278 V8 timing chain guides and turbo coolant leaks; M157 head bolt failure (still rare). Post-LCI M256 inline-six is broadly reliable. Air suspension and Magic Body Control camera modules age. The S65 V12 cars are spectacular and a service-cost mountain.
