Smaller sibling of the EQS, on the same EVA platform. Unveiled at the Munich Motor Show 2021; sales began for MY2023. Initial trim was the EQE 350 (RWD); 4MATIC AWD added; AMG EQE 53 (617 hp) at the top. ~90 kWh battery. The EQE SUV (V294) is a separate model on the same architecture.

Watch out: Shares the early V297 EQS firmware quirks — 12V battery management, intermittent wake issues — fixed via OTA. Range estimates have been criticized as optimistic in real-world cold-weather use. Rear-axle steering is offered as an option; verify equipment level on used examples (price difference is significant).
