Engineering recovery after the W211. M276 V6 (E350) replaced the M272. M278 biturbo V8 in the E550. M157 5.5L biturbo V8 in the E63 AMG (525-577 hp). 2014 LCI moved from four-headlight face to single-unit headlights. Wagon (S212) sold in the US — increasingly rare on the used market.

Watch out: M276/M278 timing chain tensioner and balance shaft component wear (the M272/M273 problems carried forward in milder form). M157 head bolt failure is rare but documented and expensive. Airmatic compressor failures on optioned cars.
