The W204 is the C-Class that still feels like an old Mercedes inside: real switchgear, heavier doors, simpler infotainment. C250 (M271 turbo I4), C300/C350 (M272/M276 V6), and the legendary C63 AMG with the hand-built M156 6.2L V8 (451 hp, naturally aspirated). The C63 is the collector pick; the regular cars are honest commuters.
Watch out: M272 V6 balance-shaft gear wear on 2008-2009 cars. Listen for code P0016/P0017. Mercedes had a class action; window is closed.
