The W203 is the second-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class, sold in the US from 2001 through 2007 in sedan, coupe (CL203) and wagon (S203) bodies. Powertrains include the supercharged M271 four (C230 Kompressor), M112 and M272 V6, M113 V8 (C32 AMG used a supercharged M112; C55 AMG used the naturally aspirated M113).

Watch out: M272 V6 balance shaft gear wear is a well-documented issue with a Mercedes-Benz class-action settlement in the US. Owner reports of M271 supercharger nose bearing wear, rust on rear arches and front jacking points, and SBC (Sensotronic Brake Control) hydraulic unit failures on equipped cars are routine.
