Subcompact crossover built on the Mazda2 (DJ) platform, smaller than the CX-30 that replaced it in the US lineup. 2.0L Skyactiv-G I4 (146hp). 6-speed Skyactiv automatic only in the US (manual was offered abroad). FWD or i-Activ AWD. Five-passenger. Discontinued in the US after the 2021 model year, the CX-30 absorbed the small-crossover slot. Continued globally in markets where the smaller footprint matters more.

Watch out: Skyactiv-G fuel-in-oil dilution pattern, especially severe in short-trip use. The tight rear seat and cargo area are the practical complaint, owners who picked it for size frequently outgrow it. No structural mechanical scandals.
