The fifth-gen RX dropped V6 power in favor of turbocharged four-cylinder and hybrid drivetrains on the TNGA-K platform. US trims include RX 350 (2.4L turbo, eight-speed automatic), RX 350h (2.5L hybrid), RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid (around 37 miles EV range), and RX 500h F Sport Performance (2.4L turbo hybrid, performance tune, around 366 hp). The two-row L variant did not carry over from the AL30 generation.

Watch out: Owner reports of first-year Lexus Interface infotainment quirks (resolved via software updates), occasional electronic-door-handle issues, and run-flat tires on some trims wearing quickly. Long-term reliability data on the new turbo-four engine family is still building.
