Lexus LS XF50 (5th Generation, current)

2018–2030 · XF50 · sedan

The fifth-gen LS moved to the GA-L rear-drive luxury platform shared with the LC 500. Power comes from the V35A-FTS 3.5L twin-turbo V6 (LS 500, ten-speed automatic) or the 8GR-FXS V6 paired with a Multi-Stage Hybrid system (LS 500h). No V8 in this generation. A 2021 update reworked the suspension, steering, and infotainment.

Watch out: Owner reports of early Lexus Enform infotainment quirks (replaced by Lexus Interface in 2022), occasional turbo wastegate noises on cold starts, and routine but expensive air-suspension component service on Executive trims as miles accumulate.
