Lexus ES V20 (1st Generation, ES 250)

1990–1991 · V20 · sedan

The first ES was effectively a more upscale Toyota Camry Prominent sold to give early Lexus dealers a second model behind the LS 400. Power came from the 2VZ-FE 2.5L V6. It sold for only two model years before the V20 was replaced by the much better received XV10 ES 300. Surviving examples are rare in good condition.

Watch out: Owner reports of head gasket and timing belt service overdue on most surviving 2VZ-FE engines. Salt-belt cars often show rocker and subframe rust; interiors fade and headliners sag on cars that lived outdoors.
