Kia EV9 MV1 (1st Generation)

Kia's first three-row dedicated EV, on the E-GMP platform with 800-volt architecture. US lineup: 76 kWh standard range RWD (single motor, 215 hp), and 99.8 kWh long range RWD or AWD (single 201 hp or dual 379 hp on the GT-Line). Six- or seven-seat layouts; optional second-row captain's chairs that rotate 180 degrees. Up to 304 miles EPA range on RWD long range. Built in West Point, Georgia for the US market starting 2024.

Watch out: REAL ISSUE: Shares the E-GMP ICCU failure recall pattern with the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and EV6. Verify the ICCU has been replaced under warranty. The vehicle is heavy (more than 5,800 lb for AWD long range), which means tire wear and brake service intervals come up faster than on a comparable ICE SUV.
