2007–2015 · V36 · sedan

Fourth-generation G, sold first as G35 (2007 sedan only), then G37 across the lineup. 3.7L VQ37VHR V6 with VVEL (~328-330hp), shared with the 370Z. RWD or AWD. 6-speed manual (sedan/coupe), 7-speed automatic. Built on the second-gen FM platform. Sedan, coupe, and a convertible (G37 Convertible / IPL Convertible). Renamed Q40 sedan / Q60 coupe in 2014-2015 as Infiniti shuffled to the Q-nomenclature; same car underneath.

Watch out: Same VQ37VHR timing-chain-tensioner pattern as the 370Z (rattle on cold start; service campaigns issued). Rear suspension bushings and CVT-equipped AWD models (Note: AWD G37 uses ATTESA with a 5-speed auto, not a CVT, but check 2014+ Q-rebadged variants by VIN). Brake rotors warp from heat-cycling, pad/rotor refresh is a routine ownership cost.
