Hyundai Elantra N CN7 N (1st N-trim Generation)

Hyundai N division's compact sport sedan, built on the CN7 Elantra chassis. The 2.0L Theta II turbo makes 276 hp (286 hp on N Grin Shift overboost), routed through either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed wet DCT to the front wheels. Electronic LSD, adaptive dampers, launch control, and a sharper steering rack come standard. Sold alongside the Veloster N until that car's 2022 discontinuation, then carried the flag alone.

Watch out: REAL ISSUE: The Theta II 2.0T shares architecture with prior Theta family engines that suffered well-documented rod-bearing failures. The N variant is rated for higher boost and revs, so cooling and oil-quality discipline matter even more than on a regular Elantra.
