Honda Passport 1st Generation

The original Passport was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo built at Subaru-Isuzu Automotive in Lafayette, Indiana. Body-on-frame construction, V6 power (Isuzu 3.2L), 2WD or 4WD. Two generations of the Isuzu were sold under the Passport name in the US: 1994-1997 first style, 1998-2002 redesign. Honda used the partnership to fill a gap until the unibody Pilot replaced it in 2003.

Watch out: These are Isuzu trucks, not Hondas under the badge. Service support is limited because the Isuzu parts catalog is the relevant one and US dealer familiarity with the platform is thin. Body-on-frame rust on northern-state cars is the standard structural concern at this age.
