The FK8 is the first Civic Type R ever sold in the US. K20C1 2.0L turbo I4 (306hp, 295 lb-ft), 6-speed manual with rev-match, helical LSD, dual-axis front strut suspension, adaptive dampers. Set the Nürburgring FWD lap record in 2017 (7:43.8). 2020+ refresh adds active sound control and minor cosmetic changes.

Watch out: Fuel pump failure recall (NHTSA 20V-314 / Honda Q4P) — 2019-2020 cars; faulty Denso high-pressure fuel pump impeller cracks and causes stalls. Free dealer replacement on covered VINs.
