GMC Hummer EV SUV BT1 Platform (SUV body)

SUV body style of the Hummer EV. Shares the GM BT1 platform and Ultium battery architecture with the Hummer EV Pickup but on a shorter wheelbase (126.7" vs. 135.6") with 5 seats and 35.9 cu ft cargo behind the rear row. SUV production began January 2023 (2024 MY). Trim hierarchy (2X, 3X, Edition 1, Omega) followed by the same staggered EV3X rollout as the pickup.

Watch out: Vehicle mass (~9,000 lb) defines the ownership reality — tire wear is rapid, brake replacement costs are high, and 'Watts to Freedom' launch mode is hard on everything. Charging requires high-power DCFC to live with daily; AC charging is slow at this battery size. Software updates have addressed many early HVAC and infotainment complaints.
