Genesis GV70 JK1 (1st Generation)

Genesis's compact luxury SUV on the M3 platform shared with the G70. US lineup: 2.5L Smartstream turbo I4 (300 hp) and 3.5L Smartstream twin-turbo V6 (375 hp). The Electrified GV70, US-launched 2023 from Hyundai's Montgomery, Alabama plant, makes 429 hp from dual permanent-magnet motors on a 77.4 kWh battery and was the first US-built Genesis. Two-Lines headlight signature carries over. AWD standard on most trims.

Watch out: Smartstream powertrains have so far avoided the catastrophic Theta II recall pattern. Electrified GV70 shares ICCU concerns with other Hyundai-Kia E-GMP-related EVs; verify any active campaigns. The signature Crest grille is plastic and stone chips on highway commutes are documented.
