Ford Fiesta ST 6th Generation (Mk7)

2014–2019 · B299 · hatchback

Sixth-gen (Mk7) Fiesta in ST trim — sold in North America 2014-2019 MY (production ended August 2019). Single drivetrain: 1.6L EcoBoost I4 (197hp/202 lb-ft) and 6-speed manual only — no automatic, no other engine choice for ST. Front-wheel drive with torque vectoring. Five-door hatch only in NA (Europe got three-door). Discontinued in NA when Ford exited passenger cars.

Watch out: 1.6L EcoBoost head gasket / coolant intrusion is the well-documented engine issue — Ford extended the warranty to 10 years / 150k miles after class-action pressure (same root issue as 2013-2014 Escape 1.6 EcoBoost). If buying used: pull the coolant cap and look for oil sheen, check the service history for the coolant intrusion warranty work. Also: the OEM motor mounts are soft (replace with poly inserts for any spirited use) and the rear beam axle is prone to rust at the trailing-arm mounts on rust-belt cars.
