Built on the JC49 platform — FCA's global D-segment architecture also shared with the Dodge Avenger. Engines: 2.4L World Engine I4 (173hp) and 3.5L V6 (2009-2011, 235hp), succeeded by the 3.6L Pentastar V6 (283hp) from 2011 on. Manufactured at Toluca, Mexico. Over 1.1 million built. Discontinued 2020 with no direct successor — Dodge exited the family-crossover segment entirely.

Watch out: 3.6L Pentastar left-bank rocker arm failure on early builds (2011-2013) — same well-known Pentastar issue. The 6-speed automatic also has documented torque-converter shudder, and rear brake rotors warp early on heavy-loaded family use.
