Chrysler Sebring 3rd Generation

20072010 · sedan

The third-generation Sebring (2007-2010) was a midsize sedan and convertible from the tail end of the DaimlerChrysler era, sold alongside the Dodge Avenger that shared its platform. Engines included the 2.4L World four, the 2.7L LH V6, and the 3.5L SOHC V6 depending on year and trim. The retractable hardtop convertible was a notable option. The car was widely panned by reviewers but found a fleet buyer base. After 2010 the model was reskinned and rebadged as the Chrysler 200.

Watch out: Owner reports of the 2.7L LH V6 sludging up and failing prematurely if oil change intervals were stretched; this engine had a reputation that followed it across multiple Chrysler vehicles in the 2000s. The 4-speed automatic behind the 2.4L is unremarkable. Convertible top hydraulics and door window regulators are common dealer visits as the cars age.

Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
