Cadillac LYRIQ 1st Generation (Ultium)

Cadillac's first ground-up electric vehicle, on GM's Ultium battery and BEV3 platform. 5-door SUV; mid-size luxury crossover positioning. Production began May 2022, first MY2023. RWD or AWD; battery options around 100 kWh. The first Cadillac EV that wasn't a converted ICE platform. LYRIQ-V high-performance variant added later in the run.

Watch out: Early build-quality and software issues were widespread on first-year (MY2023) cars — GM has steadily improved through MY2024-2025. Fit-and-finish complaints (panel gaps, interior squeaks) on early units. Ultium battery has had software-related charging-curve issues addressed via OTA updates. Service network is dealer-based but GM techs needed Ultium-specific training rolled out gradually.
