BMW Z4 G29 (3rd Generation)

2019–2026 · G29 · convertible

Third-gen Z4, co-developed with Toyota — same chassis, suspension, and B58 inline-six as the Toyota Supra A90 coupe. Soft top replaced the E89's folding hardtop. sDrive30i (B48 turbo-4) and M40i (B58 turbo-6). 6-speed manual joined the M40i for the 2024 'Handschalter' edition — the moment forums had been begging for since 2019.

Watch out: Too few years and not enough volume for a defining failure pattern. Shares the same B58 family that's broadly considered very reliable. Manual M40i is the configuration to chase.
