Coupe twin to the G80 M3. S58B30 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six — 473 hp base, 503 in Competition, 543 in CS. M xDrive AWD optional on Competition; manual transmission still available on base RWD. The grille divided fans; the driving experience didn't — most reviewers call it the best M3/M4 ever once you stop looking at the front.

Watch out: Too new for a single defining watchout. S58 is broadly considered a strong engine. Early G82s shipped with iDrive 7; CSL and later cars run iDrive 8. Carbon buckets (option) crack under hard use — known forum gripe.
