The only V8 M3. S65 4.0L naturally aspirated V8 derived from the E60 M5's S85 V10. 414 hp, 8,400 rpm redline, individual throttle bodies. Last naturally aspirated M3 and the chassis that defines the modern M3 collector market. E90 sedan and E93 convertible share the drivetrain; E92 coupe is the icon.
Watch out: S65 rod bearings. BMW shipped a marginal clearance from the factory. Plan to replace by 80k miles or buy a car that already has.
